Cookie Policy

ApprovedVersion 1.0In force from 3 November 2026

Graine's website and dashboard use only the storage needed to keep you signed in without asking. Analytics and the support chat stay off until you agree, with one choice for each, and Accept all and Reject all are equally easy to find. You can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings in the footer, and the choice is saved in your browser.

1. In short

Graine uses only the storage that keeps you signed in without asking. Everything else is off until you agree, with one choice for each purpose. "Accept all" and "Reject all" are equally easy to find, and you can change your mind at any time. This policy describes what the website's consent banner does. As of 3 Nov 2026 the banner is live on www.graine.ai (In place), and this policy applies from that date. It sits beside the Privacy Notice, which covers all other use of personal data.

2. What this policy covers

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This policy also covers similar browser storage, such as local storage. It covers the Graine website and dashboard. It does not cover the widget a customer embeds on its own website: that widget does not show this banner or load the analytics and chat tools below, and the customer who embeds it is responsible for the cookie notice on its own site.

3. Your choices and the defaults

PurposeDefaultCan you turn it off?
NecessaryAlways onNo. The site cannot keep you signed in without it.
AnalyticsOff until you agreeYes
Support chatOff until you agreeYes

Until you make a choice, nothing optional loads. The banner is not a pop-up that blocks the page: you can keep using the site behind it.

4. What each purpose uses

PurposeWhat it doesCookies and storage
NecessaryKeeps your sign-in session, remembers your light or dark theme, and remembers this choice.Browser storage, set by Graine
AnalyticsVercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights count page views and measure how fast pages load. Google Analytics, where Graine has switched it on, does the same.Cookies whose names begin with _ga, _gid or _gat, such as _ga, from Google Analytics
Support chatShows the Crisp chat window so you can message Graine. When you are signed in, Crisp receives your name and email address.Cookies whose names begin with crisp-client, from Crisp

Fonts and static files load from Google Fonts, jsDelivr and similar services. They see your IP address when your browser fetches them. This does not depend on your choice above.

5. How to change your choice

  1. Select "Cookie settings" in the footer of the site, or "Change your cookie choices" in the cookies section of the website's privacy policy. The banner reopens with one switch for each purpose.
  2. Turn analytics or support chat on or off, then select "Save choices". Or select "Reject all" or "Accept all".
  3. If you turn a purpose off, Graine removes that tool's cookies and reloads the page so the tool is gone.

Turning a purpose off does not undo what was collected while it was on. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; the banner will then ask again.

6. How your choice is recorded

Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage, under the name graine.consent. It holds a version number, whether you allowed analytics, whether you allowed support chat, and the time you chose. It stays until you change it or clear your browser data. If your browser is in private mode, the choice may hold for that page only.

The banner's code does not send your choice to Graine. If Graine adds a purpose or a vendor, it raises the version number, and everyone is asked again.

7. Consent and the law

Optional analytics and chat rest on your consent. India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 asks for a clear, specific consent that you can withdraw as easily as you gave it (section 6). The EU General Data Protection Regulation and the ePrivacy rules ask the same of visitors in the EU.
